Off Road vehicles off road

Through one of our members I have received an email from which I quote below.
Submissions have to be in by the 9th April.
Please would you email, ring, write, speak or even shout at me with your thoughts:
Should I support off road vehicles off road
Should oppose off road vehicles off road
Would this affect cyclists' off road accessibility
What about motor bikes off road
What about ebikes off road ...?

'Dear Mountaineering and Climbing Clubs

You will be aware I am sure of that the government is consulting on its response to the Glover landscapes review. I am getting in touch on behalf of the Green Lanes Environmental Action Group (GLEAM) to alert you to the consultation questions on ‘off-roading’ on green lanes by recreational motor vehicles (4x4s and motor bikes). Green lanes are either Byways Open to All Traffic or the unsealed, unclassified roads (UURs) shown on the OS map as Other Routes with Public Access.
We know from our work with Parish Councils and local communities that off-roading on both BOATs and UURs is a serious issue, damaging precious landscapes all over the country, even in the National Parks and AONBs. It is also causing nuisance, sometimes danger, for non-motorised users, residents, farmers and landowners. It is also clear that the current legislative framework for controlling use of recreational motor vehicles on unsealed tracks in the countryside is failing.
We hope that your club will take part in the current consultation and will want to support the prospect of new legislation to prohibit off-roading, as a minimum in protected landscapes, preferably countrywide.
The government’s response to the Glover review and the online consultation on its response are at Government response to the Landscapes Review - Defra - Citizen Space
The ‘off-roading’ questions are questions 13 to 17.
The consultation closes on 9 April'
