Depart from the cloisters at 9.30. Jen advises that KS might be busy as it is Westmorland Dales Day, but free parking is usually OK at the car park near the fire station.
As advertised - moderate speed, moderate distance but two big hills. However, slightly shorter than advertised (about 40 miles) as the route doesn't include Reith. After elevenses at Tan Hill we will turn right down to Keld and Thwaite in Swaledale. Then over Buttertubs into Wensleydale for lunch at Hardraw or Hawes. Return to Kirkby Stephen via Mallerstang (the upper Eden valley).
