Wednesday 10th April - 3-bike ride: out of curiosity

The 115 km ride with 2085 m of ascent was borne of curiosity and has resulted in a large circular ride round the core of the Lakeland fells.  It will be a long day, with three stops!!!  Seven hours of cycling plus stops.
Naming the low points:  Keswick, Loweswater, Ennerdale Bridge, Calder Bridge, Eskdale, Little Langdale, Skelwith Bridge, Ambleside, Thirlmere, Keswick. The high points include Whinlatter, Hard Knott, Wrynose Pass and Dunmail Raise, plus a few other "bits".  It will be a slow long day.  Please meet at my house in Keswick, Grange Park, CA12 4AY, grid reference 277233 for a 9.30 am start. From climbing the Ambleside Road, turn right and head downhill into town, along Manor Brow.  After 300m turn right, just before the dip, to Fenton (cul-de-sac).  However, fork immediately right into Grange Park. Do not go along Fenton.  Drive 200 m along Grange Park, park on the left; the house is on the right, with white van on drive. See you on Wednesday, Rob.
