The ride starts in Dalston at 09:30 and goes along the cycleway into Carlisle and then onto Sally's at Warwick Bridge for 11's via cycle route 72 (14 miles). The ride then goes up to Castle Carrock and along the fell side road to Renwick before dropping down to the Pot Shop at Plumpton for lunch (further 24 miles).
The weather is forecast is for light rain showers & a moderate breeze from the north which will assist on the run along the fell side. Total ride distance as planned is 51 miles, although this could be shortened quite easily of the weather dictates.
