Mountain Biking Ride Friday 12th April
We are aiming for a 10 o’clock start from the car park in the centre of Orton Village (by the Chocolate factory). The plan is to travel to Sproat Ghyll Farm to pick up the Bridleway which goes to Oddendale. From here we will pick up another BW towards Crosby Ravensworth. In the village I am planning to stop for a coffee break at the Butcher’s Arms. A mixture of roads and BW will take us to the track that goes to Ashby Winderwath Common and to the limestone pavement and back to Orton a distance of Approx 25 km Please bring something to eat and drink and have some warm clothes too as we are quite exposed on the top of the limestone pavement. I hope to see lots of our aspiring Mountain Bikers out. The weather doesn’t look to be too bad at the moment.This ride is suitable for all abilities.
