Dick has just died, an outcome he has been wishing for since last year. So perhaps one should think 'contentedly died' rather than 'sadly died' .... though will leave sadness for those who knew him.
An obituary will appear in the next Cumberland & Westmorland Herald.
It is hoped to arrange the funeral in Nenthead Village Hall on May 3rd ie a week Friday, but may be delayed until the following Monday. Will post further details when available, or contact the funeral directors whose details will be in the obituary.
Those on the Fife away week who wish to attend will be back in time.
Fond memories of a sometimes bloody minded, but always well informed, well meaning and generous contributor to so many aspects of cycling, his beloved Iceland and the local Alston community.
