Paul was admitted to West Cumbria Hospital, Hensingam, Whitehaven on Friday. (As most of you may know, he is at present on remission for non Hodgekinsons Lymphoma). He had his usual blood test before seeing his Consultant for a quarterly check up. Paul received a telephone call later last Friday to inform him that his white blood platelets were dangerously low and that he should attend A&E Assessment Unit at Whitehaven.
At present Paul Is being kept in until they can rectify this problem to a safe level. (They should be between 150 and 400 - Paul's white platelets are 4) .

Thanks for letting everyone know Mike. My bloodcount has started to improve so have been discharged.Continuing steroid treatment at home. Hope to see you all soon. Best wishes Paul
