Given the forecast for Wednesday is for strong winds and low temperatures in Kirkby Stephen and rain in Richmond, I have postponed this ride until May when hopefully we can enjoy an excellent ride in good weather. Instead will lead the ride I intended doing in May.
So, we will now meet at Burneside Church for a 0930 start. There's parking on our drive for a few cars if you wish to park here.
From Burneside we will head for Glenridding via Kirkstone for 11's before going over Matterdale to Threlkeld, St John's in the Vale, round the back of Thirlmere and having Lunch in Grasmere. The return leg will be via Ambleside, Holbeck Lane and Troutbeck for a total distance of 60+ miles over hilly terrain.
At the moment it looks like the temperatures will be kinder here, so hopefully it should be a good ride.
