We'll meet at 9.30am at Langwathby Rail Station and head out via Stoneybeck to Catterlen and Laithes (10.30-ish at Laithes if you wish to join us there). From Greystoke, we'll ride to Ullswater and take a short break at Pooley Bridge (20 miles).
Leaving Pooley Bridge, our route takes us via Askham and Great Strickland to Morland (10 miles) for Lunch (bring a picnic if you want to eat by the river). After lunch, we'll head back to Langwathby via Temple Sowerby and Culgaith (10 miles). Total for the full route will be 40 miles of reasonable terrain, taken at a very moderate pace.
At the end of the ride, you are very welcome to come back to our house for tea and biscuits with Joy and I.
