Club Ride Wednesday 25 May

Tomorrow's ride will start from Morrison's car park in Kendal at 0930. Whilst parking here is not a problem, I suggest we park and meet towards the end of the car park adjacent to Halfords and Currys.
The route will take us through Bowston and Staveley before we head over Kirkstone Pass to Glenridding, where we will stop for 11's at either St Patricks Boat Yard or possibly the Fellbites CafĂ© in the main car park, depending on weather.
From here we will head for Grasmere via Dockray, Threlkeld and St John's in the Vale, picking up the road around the back of Thirlmere and the new cycle path alongside the A591.
After a late lunch stop in Grasmere we will return to Kendal via Ambleside, Troutbeck and Bowston for a total distance of 66 miles.
The route is hilly with some steep climbs and descents; it is also very scenic ie typical Lakeland terrain. The forecast is good, so I hope to see you tomorrow.
