The club run on Wednesday will start from Brampton Industrial Estate instead of Gelt Road car park. I learnt today that Wednesday is market day in Brampton and the car park is likely to be full early on and possibly there will be no space for us to park.
Directions to the industrial estate: If travelling A69 from the M6 (Junction 43) drive into Brampton town and turn left at the 'T' junction. The industrial estate is then 1st turning on the right. If travelling to Brampton on the A689 from Stanwix (Carlisle), turn left on the approach to the town. The industrial estate is signposted.
The moderately hilly cycle route will include Banks, Kirkcambeck, Roadhead, Shankhill to lunch at Whitesyke Garden Centre. (No 11's stop) After lunch the route will be Longtown via Arthuret, Scuggate, Hethersgill & Walton. Distance approx 50 miles. Hope to see some of you at the start. A boring route!
