The ride starts from the church gates in the middle of Sedbergh at 10 am and involves a gentle early season ride up Dentdale before enjoying the long descent into Ribblesdale. We then cross the North Craven area before riding up Lunesdale. The highest part of the route is the climb out of Dentdale to Newby Head. I checked yesterday at about the time the ride will pass over that stretch of road and the riding conditions were good. The coffee stop is Horton in Ribblesdale and lunch is either Ireby Green or Kirkby Lonsdale.
Just a reminder about parking in Sedbergh on market day. It is best to park on the approach road into town or by the school playing fields.
