The Club Ride on Wednesday leaves from the church gates in Kirkby Stephen at 9.00am.
The early start allows for a leisurely ascent to Lamps Moss and on to the head of Swaledale. We ride down the dale stopping for coffee and cakes at the bakery cafe in Reeth. The ride continues into the Vale of Richmond and over to Wensleydale for lunch at Jervaulx Abbey. The return is along the north side of Wensleydale, possibly stopping for tea at Hardrow.
Apart from the first climb out of the Eden Valley the route is undulating and provides some pleasurable riding along two of the best valleys in the Dales. The total distance is about 78 miles.
