YHA Sportive 7th September

Here's an email that I received from Keswick YHA about a Sportive they are organising. It clashes with Ludo's ride on 7th September but I thought some people may be interested:

YHA Keswick has organized its premier 100km sportive as part of the nationwide ‘YHA Day’, with the money raised from the event going to the YHA’s charity,  ‘Breaks for Kids’. This organisation enables financially disadvantaged children to take part in school trips and other opportunites they would otherwise be unable to experience.

The course incorporates honister pass and includes a lot of lesser-used roads around Cumbria. The sportive has been classified as grade 3 by britishcycling.org.uk with an overall ascent of around 1400m.

It would be amazing to see teams from cycling clubs around the region both near and far represent themselves at this event, so Eden Valley Cycling Club are formally invited and the more members that can make it the better! We are anticipating a great turnout for our first sportive.
