I've chosen this route, and also the café stops, for beautiful lakeland scenery. Both café stops are 'tea rooms' overlooking lakes which means that they don't specialise in bargain 'carb fuel'! You can check out the lunch menu for Blackwell http://www.blackwell.org.uk/visit/tea-room - they do offer soup which I think is about £4.95 or you might want to bring some of your own rations and there are pubs in Bowness if you don't want the scenery! I notice that they do offer beans on toast on the children's menu and no doubt some of you are childish enough to qualify. As usual, some parking at our house but ride will officially start from Burneside church. Tea and scones etc offered at our house after the ride. Weather looking great - hope to see you for a good day out.
